NWCC secure message system is designed to send messages, files and other data containing confidential information between NWCC, their clients and vendors. The data are kept secure by password protecting access to messages and by using the SSL/TLS protocol for transmission. Message recipients are notified of new messages via ordinary email. Available message features vary according to the needs of user; for example banks are able to send cost breakdowns by pasting data from a spread sheet and inspectors are able to attach photos and other files to messages. The system allows messages and associated files to be attached to an arbitary number of projects so communications about each project can be tracked even when the message is about more than one project.
One unique feature of the NWCC messaging system is the ability for lenders to send staff can then review the data and load it in to the database and send an inspection notice to one of their inspectors. After the inspection the inspector can login enter the results the inspection, upload inspection photos and notify NWCC using the secure message system.
